StoicHabit Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes the categories of personal data processed in connection with StoicHabit, the purposes of processing, recipients, legal bases, retention, and your rights.

1. Data Controller / Publisher

StoicHabit is developed and published by Jakubiak & Fischer GmbH, Moosstr. 4, 83404 Ainring, Germany. Representative: Michael Anton Fischer (Managing Director).

Website: jakubiak-fischer.com

Privacy contact: info [at] jakubiak-fischer [dot] com

2. Local Device Data

StoicHabit stores habit entries, ritual reflections, journal content, and similar user-generated app content locally on the device. The publisher does not operate a general application backend that stores such content as part of the core StoicHabit functionality.

3. iCloud Backup and Synchronization (Optional)

If enabled by the user, StoicHabit may synchronize app data with the user's personal iCloud account by means of Apple iCloud services. This processing is optional and may be disabled in the app. Apple acts as the provider of the relevant cloud infrastructure and applies its own terms and privacy documentation to that processing.

4. Advertising Attribution and Revenue Measurement

StoicHabit integrates AppsFlyer together with Apple attribution technologies, including Apple Search Ads attribution, SKAdNetwork, and AdAttributionKit, for campaign attribution, install measurement, and purchase or subscription revenue attribution.

Depending on device settings, operating system support, and consent choices, the categories of data processed for these purposes may include:

Processing under this section is carried out for the purposes of identifying the campaign or partner associated with an install, purchase, renewal, or other attributable revenue event; measuring campaign performance; and calculating compensation payable to marketing or affiliate partners. Revenue attribution over the subscription lifecycle depends in part on the data made available by Apple and AppsFlyer through their SDK and server-side store-revenue flows. Habit content, ritual content, and journal text are not transmitted to AppsFlyer for these purposes. The current build does not request precise device location permission and does not collect GPS coordinates through Core Location as part of this attribution configuration.

The current StoicHabit build is configured not to collect Apple's identifier for vendors (IDFV) through AppsFlyer. The current build instead relies on Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA), but only where permission is granted through App Tracking Transparency, together with Apple's attribution services and AppsFlyer's purchase and subscription measurement.

The current StoicHabit build does not assign an internal StoicHabit account identifier or custom customer identifier to AppsFlyer. Attribution therefore operates at the campaign level and the attributed app-instance level, rather than by reference to an internal StoicHabit account ID.

5. App Tracking Transparency

StoicHabit includes Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission request. If permission is granted, the app may access the advertising identifier (IDFA) for campaign attribution and purchase or subscription revenue measurement, including lifecycle revenue reporting where supported by AppsFlyer and Apple's attribution and store-notification systems. If permission is denied, iOS restricts access to the IDFA and attribution coverage may be reduced. This permission may be reviewed or changed in iOS settings.

6. Payments and Subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. The publisher does not receive full payment card details. The publisher may receive transaction status, product, subscription, and revenue-related information necessary to confirm entitlements and measure revenue attribution.

7. Recipients and Third Parties

Depending on the feature used, personal data may be processed by or disclosed to:

The publisher does not sell personal data. Habit content, ritual reflections, and journal text are not disclosed to advertisers or marketing partners.

8. Legal Bases

To the extent the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or similar laws apply, processing is carried out on one or more of the following legal bases:

9. International Transfers

Service providers may process data outside the user's country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, such transfers are intended to rely on appropriate safeguards under applicable law, including standard contractual clauses or equivalent transfer mechanisms made available by the relevant provider.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

11. Children

StoicHabit is not directed to children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal data in a manner inconsistent with applicable law, contact the publisher and the matter will be reviewed.

12. Security

The publisher relies on Apple's platform security, local device protections, App Store transaction security, and the security controls of relevant service providers. No method of storage, processing, or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

13. Your Rights

Depending on the applicable jurisdiction, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For privacy requests, contact: info [at] jakubiak-fischer [dot] com.

14. Third-Party Policies

Apple and AppsFlyer maintain their own privacy notices and terms, which also apply to their respective processing:
